WELCOME TO THE LEA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
 

Mission Statement

The men and women of the Lea County Sheriff’s Department are dedicated and strongly committed to providing the citizens of this county with best possible law enforcement services.

Our resolve is to project the utmost professionalism in actions, as well as appearance, treating all citizens with dignity and respect they deserve. It is our objective to do our part to improve the quality of life for all residents of Lea County. These goals can only be accomplished through accountability, involvement in the community and working closely with the citizens to resolve many of the critical issues which we are currently facing.

My Commitment

Lea County is growing and changing rapidly. Probably more so than any other time in our history. Not only is our economy is becoming more diversified, but so are our people. It is truly an exciting time to live and work in Lea County. However, with growth, there are growing pains. There will be new and increasing challenges to law enforcement. Technology and opportunity have created crimes that have never been seen before. New industries in our communities will require special security needs. It is my commitment to work diligently to ensure that the Lea County Sheriff’s Department is prepared to meet these challenges. My ongoing and long term goal is provide the most professional, pro-active, well trained agency anywhere.
